The second story in this small book was about my trials with Canadian and USA customs for the crime of taking my own comics across the border. No matter what I did, it was wrong. I escaped lightly, but I know that next time I go to those great countries, I will not be taking any books across the border. I drew this in a more cartoony mode than usual, as the publication was only A5 in size, so not conducive to too much detail (and it’s notably faster to produce). I like to do this from time to time, as it takes me back to my younger years when most of my comics were humourous. So, it’s still a serious story, but I chucked in a few gags here and there. The depictions of various customs stations are pretty accurate and the dialogue follows what was said.
